APIs are a universal way to communicate between different applications. API keys allow other applications to access your E-Gates account without having to share your password with them.

In order to create an API key, you must first ensure that 2FA (Two-Factor Authentication) is enabled on your account, and that you have successfully completed the KYC (Know Your Customer) and KYB (Know Your Business) verification processes. Once you have completed all of these prerequisites, you can proceed to the API Manager tab and click on the "Add API Key" button located in the top right corner.

Next, you will be prompted to choose a name for the API key and select the desired components. After making your selections, click on the "Add" button. If you have followed all the steps correctly, you will receive the expected API key upon completing these actions.

You can utilize the API key with absolute peace of mind when it comes to security, as malevolent actors will never be granted the opportunity to harm your company without the secret key, which must be kept confidential. Additionally, you have the option to employ a WhiteList, further enhancing security by restricting user access.
